Do you need a Social Security number to join The Academy and get your license with the State of California?
No, due to the recent change in laws “The California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology is now authorized to accept applications for licenses containing an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) in lieu of a Social Security Number (SSN)”. How can The Academy help me improve my career?
The Academy provides you with complete Cosmetology or Esthetics training. Once you finish our program you will be prepared to pass the California State Board Exams, and start your career in the beauty industry. At The Academy we don’t just teach you all about Cosmetology or Esthetics, we also train you to be successful! Unlike any other schools, we encourage our students to achieve personal growth and discover their potential.
Do you offer Financial Aid in the form of Pell Grant and/or Student Loan?
At this time, we do not. However, we do offer interest-free low monthly payment plan to fit your household budget. Your monthly payments can be as low as you wish as long as your tuition balance is paid off before your completion date. Our zero-interest payment plan allows our students to complete their programs debt-free without the heavy burden of sizable student loans before entering the workforce.
Are the Instuctors well qualified to teach me?
The operation of The Academy is under the instruction of qualified supervisors with more than 30 years of experience in the beauty industry. The quality of the education is exhibited daily in the classroom with the attention and dedication the Instructors give to all our students. On a regular basis, we also invite guest artists, lecturers, and trainers with proven expertise in virtually all areas of cosmetology and skin care.

Will you help me find a job after I complete the program?
Job placement assistance is provided to our graduates and students. We have a “network” of salons that are always interested in recruiting our graduates. Successful salon owners and stylists are regularly invited to discuss career goals with our students. Our graduates are highly sought after because of their high proficiency in “hands on” salon/spa technical procedures.
Are classes held at convenient hours?
Classes are held at convenient hours that fit into your busy schedule: Day, Afternoon, Evening, and Saturday classes are available. We also offer some schedule flexibility to students with other important commitments like childcare and work.
How long does it take to complete the program?
It takes approximately 12 to 18 months to complete the cosmetology program depending on your chosen class schedule. You may also be able to finish the program within ten months if you commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours a week. For the skin care program it will take less than 6 months.
